Perfect Game Scouting Report
350. Cole Peragine, ss/c, Stony Brook (SR)
B-R, 6-0/180, Belle Ewart, Ontario
Previously Drafted: Never Drafted
Serving as the Seawolves everyday starting shortstop each of the past two spring with 50 plus starts in each of them, Peragine’s athleticism and overall defensive instincts have taken him behind the plate in 2015. The defensive change certainly adds value to his overall profile though the switch-hitter put together a solid offensive campaign as well. Showing a nice line drive approach with outstanding hand-eye coordination and knowledge of the strike zone (48 walks, 19 strikeouts), Peragine hit .293 this spring, which is up nearly 10 points from last season’s All-Conference season.
