Scouting Report:

A Canadian lefthanded hitter, Hendriks was drafted out of high school in Alberta back in 2011 (Phillies, 40th round) and was a four-year starter for the Dons. He never quite broke out but showed steady progress, homering 12 times the last two seasons after failing to do so his first two years. Hendriks has raw power that gets short-circuited by a hitch in his swing. He punishes mistakes, though much of his power goes to the gaps. His approach remains somewhat raw, though he hit .298 in the Cape Cod League last summer. He has played some third base in the past and at 6-foot-2, 202 pounds, he moves well enough to give it a try again in pro ball.
