Scouting Report:

Gordon is a product of the up-and-coming Great Lakes Canadians, though he previously played with the Oakville Royals. An athlete with fast-twitch ability, Gordon burst onto scouts’ radars with impressive performances at Tournament 12 and at the WWBA Championship in Jupiter. The righthanded hitting outfielder has a short stroke geared for line drives, and has the ability to punch the ball into the gaps with backspin. He flashes above-average bat speed and scouts project him to develop below-average power, as he already shows some ability to drive the ball deep to his pull side. Gordon is also an above-average runner and knows how to use his speed, showing strong instincts in the outfield and reading situations well on the basepaths. Scouts give Gordon excellent marks for his makeup, and many believe in his ability to develop into a solid regular. He is committed to the University of San Francisco.

Perfect Game Scouting Report

334. Miles Gordon, of, St. Ignatius S.S.
L-R, 6-0/170, Oakville, Ont.
College Commitment: San Francisco

Gordon played with the same youth program as Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Dalton Pompey and shares many of the same similarities, including a limited exposure to the national scouting community leading up to his senior draft year. Gordon is a plus runner with 6.6 speed in the 60-yard dash, but his best and most rapidly improving tool is his smooth and quick lefthanded swing. He profiles as a top-of-the-order center fielder in the future.
