2016 season _ Dominican summer trip: Four scoreless innings, allowing seven hits, four strike outs against MLB Prospects ... Needed 61 pitches in six innings allowing one hit, striking out four Yankees, after a two out single in the second retired 13 in a row ... Scattered three hits, walked one, left two stranded in the fourth, facing 19 batters over five innings in win over Twins ... Extended spring trip: Allowed five earned runs against the Braves, six strikeouts in three innings ... Allowed three runs facing the Tigers one strikeout ... Florida Spring tripFanned 3 in three innings vs. Phillies allowing two runs, one earned ... Scoreless inning against the Rays ... At Vauxhall camp: “Showed a very good fastball, change up has life, breaking ball needs a bit more depth ... 90-92 MPH.”

2015 season: At World Juniors in Osaka, Japan pitched seven inning allowing one run on three hits and two walks (one intentional) while striking out six in must-win 6-2 decision over Chinese Taipei in pool play. Dominated against Australia allowing three runs -- two earned -- on six hits and a walk, while fanning 10. Was 2-0, 1.88 ERA with 16 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings ... In Australia for Friendly Series: 0-2 with 8.59 ERA walking five, striking out seven in two starts ... At Tournament 12, pitched three scoreless for BC Orange hitting 92 mph, allowed an infield hit and fanned five ... At Area Codes in Long Beach ... Pitched three innings in the Royals 6-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox, allowing four runs on two walks and five hits, striking out three. His max velocity was 90.6 mph. And in his second outing worked two innings for the in an 8-8 tie with the Milwaukee Brewers, allowing one run on four hits and fanned four, hitting 88.7 MPH.

2014 season: Pitch three innings and allowing two runs against Quebec Blue at Tournament 12 at the Rogers Centre ... Struck out 39 in 31 1/3 innings --  walking 14 -- going 5-0 with one save and a 1.34 ERA as the No. 3 man in the deep Vauxhall rotation which also included Ben Onyshko (Winnipeg, Man.) and J.P. Stevenson ((Hunter River, PEI).

Honors: 2016 _ Rawlings/Perfect Game All-Region selection from Canada/Puerto Rico region.

What they are saying: Can he be signed for worth? "Signability worries some teams ... What you see is what you’re going to get ... Is 91 mph but sometimes tries to throw 95 ... is 89-92 and can pitch at that level." ... Was 88-90 MPH with fastball that showed late life and worked both sides of plate. Flashed an 83-85 change up that was unhittable. His curveball, while loose at times, worked in the 76-77 MPH zone ... “Aggressive and goes after hitters.”
