Scouting Report(s):
Perfect Game
Jaden Brown is a 2019 SS/2B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Mississauga, Ont. who attends St. Marcellinus S.S.. Physical and athletic build with present strength and plenty of room for more. 6.64 runner, has very quick feet and smooth footwork in the infield defensively, shows range in all directions and has feel for defense, gets rid of the ball very quickly and gets on top of throws with good carry, not exceptional raw arm strength but it plays up with all the other factors. Right handed hitter, has quick and explosive hands, line drive swing plane with present bat speed and plenty more to come, handles the barrel well, gap to gap power at present. Lots of projection here. Good student, verbal commitment to Kentucky. Selected to play in the 2018 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
Jaden Brown (2019, Mississauga, Ont.) first stood out to me at shortstop for the Ontario Blue Jays Travers. His glove skills are really impressive as well as his actions. The range is pretty good and his hands are very smooth with a quick transfer. The arm is playable with the ability to throw from multiple arm angles. At the plate, Brown had a slow start, but made the most of his last at-bat showing big bat speed and power potential throughout the swing, Brown has an explosive swing that can be too aggressive at times. An uncommitted righthanded swinger from Canada, Brown has a lot of potential both in the infield and at the plate with good size and room to fill with added strength throughout the profile.
