The most influential people in my baseball life: “My mother: Sarina Barbieri. The strongest person I know. Never makes excuses and is the definition of an amazing human being.”

The most influential person, besides my family in my baseball life: “I’m going to have to go with Travis Hergert. The way he always taught us to treat the game and be better humans always stuck with me. A fantastic coach that I’ll never forget.”

Good genes: “My mother, Sarina Barbieri, played many sports growing up including basketball, volleyball, badminton, while my uncle Carmelo Barbieri was with Team Canada soccer and Serie C soccer and my sister, Chiara Barbieri was a Division 1 wrestler (at Presbyterian College) and an All-American.”

Best day on the ball field: “Probably the day where I hit three home runs in a single game (against Keiser). The third homer being a game-tying blast in the ninth in a massive conference game. Also set the Ave Maria Single Season home run record in that game. Only the second ever three homers in a game in school history.

What teams showed the most interest: “The Washington Nationals.”

When scouts talk to you, whom do they say your game reminds them of? “I never had that specific question, but since I’ve been at the complex I would say I’ve heard a mix of Mookie Betts and Luis Arraez.”
