Dawgs fall to Bulls 6-4

Okotoks, Alta. _ The Okotoks Dawgs (27-13) dropped a close game against their western division rivals the Lethbridge Bulls (24-16) by a score of 6-4 at Seaman Stadium.
The Dawgs got hot early in the game with a two-run home run hit by Kellen Marruffo (University of Utah) to give the Dawgs and early 2-0 lead over Lethbridge in the bottom of the third. Marruffo, who hit his fifth home run of the year, went 3-for-4, collecting two runs and two RBIs along with a walk against the Bulls.
Josh McIntyre (Everette Community College) also contributed offensively with two hits, a run and an RBI. Garrett Kirkwood (Colby Community College) had two hits against the Bulls.
CJ Lewington (University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff) got the start, going six innings while only allowing four hits, two runs, four walks and three strike outs.
Anthony Baldaras (Lewis and Clark State University) came in to pitch two innings, giving up just one hit and striking out four Lethbridge batters. Christian Parsons (Lower Columbia College) earned the loss, as he came in to pitch the ninth inning, allowing three hits, four runs and walking one.
