Noah Skirrow (Stoney Creek, Ont.) had his second outing of the weekend and this time picked up the win for Tri-State Arsenal Prime.

The former Ontario Blue Jays RHP pitched 6 2/3 innings to edge FTB Mizuno 2-1 on Day 4 of play in Jupiter, Fla. during the 88-team Perfect Game World Wood Bat Association World Championship. 

Skirrow allowed seven hits, walked one and one unearned run. He threw 105 pitches (74 for strikes) before bullpen help arrived. His best fastball was clocked at 89.7.      

He came out of the box on Day 1 throwing 90 mph plus for Tri-State Arsenal Prime. Skirrow allowed one run on one hit in his 2 1/3 innings. He threw 45 pitches (30 for strikes) and drew a crowd of scouts. 

Tri-State dropped a 4-3 loss to the Upstate Mavericks.

Alex Jones kept the ball down.

And as a result he kept the score down too for Mike Steed’s Ontario Blue Jays. Jones (Bowmanville, Ont.) pitched 6 1/3 scoreless as the Ontario Blue Jays blanked the Kentucky Baseball Club Prime 3-0.

Jones record 10 ground ball outs allowed four base runners: a man reached on an error in the second, a walk and error in the fourth and a line-drive double in the fifth. Jones had a 63-pitch outing throwing 49 strikes. To go with the one walk, he had six strikeouts.     

Reede Reeding (Listowel, Ont.) took over and needed only five pitches to record the final two outs.  

The Ontario Blue Jays scored a pair of runs in the third as Tyler Silva (Cambridge, Ont.) got things started with a single. An out later, Owen Jansen (Oakville, Ont.) singled. Noah Naylor (Mississauga, Ont.) saw his liner clanked by the first baseman as Silva scored. Next, Garrett Takamatsu (Burlington, Ont.) hit a ground ball single to score Jansen.

Takamatsu had two hits and two RBIs, while Malik Williams (Toronto, Ont.), Kurt Dawkins (Ajax, Ont.), Andrew Leggo (Waterloo, Ont.) and Naylor also had the other hits.

Cangelosi Baseball and the Ontario Blue Jays battled on even terms for five innings until Cangelosi scored twice in the sixth and once in the seventh for a 4-1 victory.
         
Lukas Barry (Mississauga, Ont.) started for the Ontario Jays and allowed one run on three walks and one strikeout. He threw 54 pitches (28 strikes) and was followed to the mound by Nate Holmes (Mississauga, Ont.), who worked two scoreless allowing a hit and fanning five. Holmes threw 31 pitches (19 for strikes).

Ethan Seaver (Niagara Falls, Ont.) allowed two runs on two walks and Diego Dominguez (Vaughan, Ont.) one run on two hits in 1 2/3 innings.

Rashad Collymore (Mississauga, Ont.) doubled, while George Farid (Mississauga, Ont.) and Reeding had the hits for the Ontario Blue Jays.

Michael Stovman (Maple Ridge, BC) doubled home a pair of runs as the DBacks Langley Blaze fell 6-4 to the Texas Scout Team Yankees, who scored twice in the fourth and three times in the fifth.

Danny Berg (Saskatoon, Sask.) singled and knocked in a run while the other Blaze hits went to Rhys Cratty (Surrey, BC), Jayden Wakeham (Victoria, BC), Mitchell Rennie (West Kelowna, BC) and Jayden Knight (Langley, BC).

RP David Rhodes (White Rock, BC) had his second outing retiring the final five outs as Baseball Northwest lost 4-2 to the Central Florida Gators.

Rhodes pitched 1 2/3 scoreless allowing two hits and striking out three. He threw 22 pitches (15 strikes) and his best fastball was clocked at 89.4mph.

Canada Perfect Game Gold got off to a good start in the first inning taking a 1-0 lead six hitters into the game, but that was it. 

The Elite Squad Louisville Slugger squad scored in every inning but one for a 9-1 win over Canada PG Gold.

Ryan Johnston (Oakville, Ont.) led off the game reachhing on an error and Ryan Santos (Mississauga, Ont.) walked. One out later a Jake Ervin (Mississauga, Ont.) grounder was clanked loading the bases. With two out Ricardo Alvarez De Lugo (Mississauga, Ont.) singled to score Johnston, but Santos was thrown out at the plate.

Kyle Lev (Mississauga, Ont.) started and worked three innings giving up five runs -- four earned -- on five hits and three walks. Lev threw 79 pitches (44 strikes). John Brown (Mississauga, Ont.) took over giving up four runs on three hits and a walk.

Kyle Stevenson (Oshawa, Ont.) and Dawson Walters (Toronto, Ont.) had the other hits after the first inning.

Dondrae Bremner (Toronto, Ont)  walked and scored in the second, lined out in the fourth and bounced out in the sixth as his Toronto Blue Jays Scout Team knocked off the Royals Scout Team 6-0.

Trei Cruz (Houston, Tex.) the son of Jose Cruz, former Toronto Blue Jays outfielder, lined out in his only at-bat for the Royals Scout Team in the 6-0 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays Scout Team.
