With two rainouts, there were only six games on the slate in the Blue Jays’ system with the clubs going 1-5. Only New Hampshire, exhibiting a new verve and on a win streak since the trade deadline, won their game.

The Bisons opened their series in Pawtucket with an 8-2 loss against the Paw Sox. Chris Leroux was charged for seven of the Red Sox’ eight runs, allowing eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts in just four innings. Bo Schultz fired two innings of one-hit relief while Aaron Loup was tagged for a run on three hits in an inning and Matt Dermody threw a scoreless eighth.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5, Erie SeaWolves 2
The Fisher Cats got great games all around as they extended their win streak to four games with a 5-2 win opening their series against the Erie SeaWolves. Taylor Cole won his third game, throwing five innings and giving up just one run on five hits (including a solo home run) without walking anyone and striking out three. Murphy Smith gave up an unearned run on three hits over two innings.

With both of the newly acquired prospects (Reese McGuire and Harold Ramirez) getting the night off, it was pre-trade deadline Fisher Cats’ offense that got the job done. Rowdy Tellez was 3/4 with a single, a double, and a home run, scoring twice while Ryan Lavarnway was 2/4 with a run and an RBI. Richard Urena had a triple and a single, scoring once while Derrick Loveless was 1/3 with an RBI.
