The Blue Jays’ minor league clubs were cleanly swept on Monday, losing all five scheduled games.
Buffalo Bisons 0, Pawtucket Red Sox 1
Finally seeing a new opponent after five straight losses to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the Bisons’ offense didn’t register a hit until the seventh inning on the way to a 1-0 loss. Quentin Berry got the first hit and Domonic Brown and Andy Burns had the other two.
Scott Copeland was very strong, throwing six innings and giving up one unearned run on three hits with five strikeouts. Aaron Loup (1 IP, 1 K) and Bo Schultz (1 IP) finished the game.

Dunedin Blue Jays 6, Clearwater Threshers 9
Dunedin having clinched a playoff spot, lost its Sunday game to the Clearwater Threshers by a 9-6 score. The pitching staff faltered over the first few innings with Brad Allen giving up five runs (but just two earned) over three innings on five hits (including a home run) with one walk and one strikeout. Francisco Rios also gave up two runs over 1 2/3 innings and Justin Shafer couldn’t put out the first in the fifth inning, allowing two more runs on three hits and a walk. Carlos Ramirez threw two perfect innings with one strikeout and Adonys Cardona allowed a hit in his inning, striking out one. Jose Fernandez struck out one of the three batters he faced in the ninth.
Dickie Joe Thon (2/4, RBI, R) and Matt Dean (2/4, 2 R) had two hits each while David Harris was 1/3 with a walk, an RBI, a run and two stolen bases. D.J. Davis was 1/3 with a walk, a double, an RBI and was caught stealing.

Lansing Lugnuts 0, Lake County Captains 3

T.J. Zeuch, 2016 first-round pick, went five innings, striking out seven but gave up three runs on three hits (including a two-run home run) and two walks. Jordan Romano allowed a hit and a walk over two innings, striking out three while Daniel Lietz pitched a perfect ninth, striking out one.
Player of the Game: J.B. Woodman
Roster Notes: Jordan Romano was activated off the DL and Tayler Saucedo was sent to Bluefield (primarily just to make roster space).
Vancouver Canadians 5, Tri-City Dust Devils 6
The Canadians got strong work from starter Dalton Rodriguez but the bullpen squandered their lead, despite chasing former Blue Jays’ prospect Hansel Rodriguez from the game in the fourth inning. Dalton went five innings and gave up just one run on five hits and a walk with three strikeouts before new signee Taylor Durand allowed three unearned runs in his Vancouver debut and Jared Carkuff allowed another run on three hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings in his Vancouver debut (after being promoted from the GCL). Gabe Noyalis gave up two hits over two scoreless innings, striking out four and Grayson Huffman took the loss after giving up a run on two hits, getting only one out in the bottom of the 10th inning.
While Nash Knight led the Canadians with three hits, an RBI and a run, it was D.J. McKnight who hit a solo home run and drove in another run, going 2/5. David Jacob was 2/5 with a double, a triple, an RBI and a run while Brett Wellman was 1/2 with two walks and a run.
