Okotoks Dawgs Academy product and Team Canada Junior National Team member, Cesar Valero, had the opportunity to participate in the Under Armour All- America Game at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The event is held annually at the home of the Chicago Cubs, and is one of the most prestigious events in amateur baseball.

Each year, Under Armour partners with Baseball Factory and scouting staffs to hand-pick the best youth players in North America to participate in the showcase. It is truly for the elite, as players that are selected to participate, often end up being high draft picks in the Major League Baseball Amateur draft. Valero was one of only 40 players to be selected, and only the 13th Canadian to ever play in the Under Armour All- America Game.

This is what Under Armour and Baseball Factory had to say about Valero:

“The athletic infielder has good feet and hands, and swings the bat with authority from the right side of the plate. His stroke is natural with excellent barrel feel and the ability to adjust to high quality stuff. Cesar continues the tradition of prospects from Canada showing their high-level ability at the Under Armour All-America Game.” – baseballfactory.com

Later this month, Valero headed for the East Coast Pro Showcase in Hoover, Ala. Another one of the most prestigious events in amateur ball where Adidas partners with organizations to hand-pick some of the best up-and-coming talent in North America.
