This spring six Canadians were on the opening day roster of the Crowder College Roughriders.

Crowder split a doubleheader with the Jefferson Vikings on Friday, winning the opener 6-2 and losing the nitecap 14-7 in 11 innings.

Come fall three more Canucks will be on the way: Fieldhouse Pirates C Simon Grinberg (Kitchener, Ont,), as well as Okotoks Dawgs grads SS Dryden Howse (Calgary, Alta.) and INF Ricardo Sanchez (Okotoks, Ont.).

The other Canucks at Crowder this spring are INF Nick Tremblay (Saint-Hilaire, Que.), INF Victor Plaz (Montreal, Que.), C Adamo Stornello (Montreal, Que.), INF Anthony Marcano (St-Anne, Que.)RHP Bryce Libke (Saskatoon, Sask.), and OF Kenny DiClemente (Oakville, Ont.).

Plaz had the best average batting .353 with a double, two homers, 10 RBIs as well as a 1.205 OPS in nine games.

For the 23-3 Roughriders, DiClemente is hitting .357 with three doubles and 10 RBIs, combining for a .963 OPS in 15 games.

Stornello had a .281 average with a double, a home run and seven RBIs, with a .767 OPS in 12 games.

Tremblay was batting .261 when play finished with a double and five RBIs, as well as a .697 OPS in eight games.

Marcano batted .231 through nine games with two doubles, a triple, a homer and six RBIs, as well as an .800 OPS.
