Three of Canada’s top elite teams led the way on the Perfect Game All-Region honours for 2022.

The Langley Blaze, Okotoks Dawgs and Toronto Mets each had four players named to the Canada/Puerto Rico Region All-Senior First Team.

Langley, coached by Jamie Bodaly and Doug Mathieson, had RHP Micah Bucknam (Abbotsford, BC), INF Nathan Kirkpatrick (Surrey, BC), OF Camden Rendell (Upper Tantallon, NS), who also attends King’s-Edgehill and RHP Jacob Zibin (Langley, BC). Bucknam is headed to LSU and Zibin has committed to Kentucky.

Okotoks Dawgs RHP Matthew Grabmann (Dartmouth, BS)

The Dawgs saw RHP Matthew Grabmann (Dartmouth, NS), OF Max Hartman (Okotoks, Alta.), RHP Conor Pote (Okotoks, Alta.) and RHP Boston Warkentin (Ladner, BC). Grabmann is Oregon bound, Hartman has committed to Washington State, Pote has signed with Oregon State while Warkentin is a Washington signee.

The four horsemen of the Toronto Mets include: OF Charlie Iriotakis (Toronto, Ont.), OF Jacob Miller (Oshawa, Ont.), RHP Turner Spoljaric (Lisle, Ont.) and RHP Zakery Szabo (Whitby, Ont.).

Iriotakis had committed to William & Mary, Miller will go to Chipola, Spoljaric has signed to attend Oregon and Szabo will take classes at Troy.

The Academy Baseball Canada, the FieldHouse Pirates and the Ontario Blue Jays all had three players each named to the first Team.

Academy Baseball Canada’s 2B Daoust (Repentigny, Que.),

ABC had 2B Louka Daoust (Repentigny, Que.), RHP Louis-Philip Langevin (Québec, Que.) and RHP Mathieu Voros (Anjou, Que.) on the First Team.

The three FieldHouse players were C Cameron Gurney (Scotland, Ont.), RHP Owen Millar (Burlington, Ont.) and INF Nathaniel Ochoa (Burlington, Ont.).

And the trio of Ontario Blue Jays were RHP Kansai Sugimoto (Mississauga, Ont.), RHP Quinn Tavares (Mississauga, Ont.) and Sam White (Aurora, Ont.).

The Ontario Terriers had two players named in C Colin Cymbalista (Pickering, Ont.) and C Hugh Pinkney (Etobicoke, Ont.).

Clubs who had one player represented included: Great Lake Canadians, King’s-Edgehill Academy, Mississauga Tigers -- which led the PG Under Classmen First team -- London Badgers, Pro5 Baseball Academy, Vauxhall Academy Jets, White Butte Broncos and the White Rock Titans.

Combining the First Team and Honourable Mention selections the Ontario Blue Jays led the way with 20 players. Next came the ABC with nine and the Toronto Mets with seven apiece. The Blaze and Terriers had six each.
