Adams, Clemett, Domanski star for Vauxhall Jets on Opening Day

Lethbridge, AB – It was a beautiful sunny February afternoon in Southern Alberta with the Jets taking on the PBA JV at Nolan Yard. The Jets were dominant on the mound for the entire day with one tough inning to finish up game 2.

Game 1: Jets 12 PBA JV 0

Game 1 saw Ben Adams start and go two innings with five strikeouts. Cole Alguire followed, tossing an inning, allowing a hit while striking out the side. Shaye McTavish then replaced Alguire and threw a scoreless inning, working around three walks with three strikeouts. Jack Mount and Mason Nordli finished up for the Jets with an inning each, striking out three and two batters respectively.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Logan Domanski who was 2-for-3. Jackson Clemett was also 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Meanwhile, Max Grant and Ty Wevers each went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Carlin Dick was 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Nick Gravel and John Clark also each contributed a hit and an RBI, while Kalem Haney was 2-for-3 with a double.

Game 2 Jets 4 PBA JV 5

Game 2 saw the Jets lead the entire way until the last inning when they surrendered five runs to lose 5-4. Anson McGorman started and pitched the first inning and struck out two batters. Justin Adamoski, Reece Keller and Hunter Porter followed with scoreless innings. Maddux Mateychuk then replaced Porter and tossed 1 2/3 innings allowing two hits, an earned run with three walks, but also struck out two.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Carlin Dick, who was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Nick Gravel also had two hits, while Logan Domanski, Jackson Clemett and Mason Nordli each doubled in the contest. Max Grant and Shaye McTavish also each went 1-for-3.

The Jets will travel back to Lethbridge to take on PBA next weekend weather permitting
