O’Halloran Earns Spot On ABCA/Rawlings NCAA All-Region Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Junior Connor O’Halloran of the University of Michigan has earned a spot on the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Midwest All-Region Team, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced on Tuesday.

O’Halloran was named Big Ten Pitcher of the Year after a strong 2023 season with 110 strikeouts and 47 earned runs over 103 innings pitched. He led the Big Ten in WHIP at 1.13 and was second in wins with eight.

He threw the first complete game of his career against Michigan State on April 22 and tallied back-to-back 100-strikeout seasons, becoming the first Wolverine in program history to accomplish the feat. His 110 strikeouts this season, ranking him sixth in program history for a single season and 10th on the career strikeouts leaderboard.

O’Halloran is the first Wolverine pitcher since Oliver Jaskie in 2017 to earn first team All-Region Honors. Steven Hajjar earned second-team honors in 2021, and Clark Elliott garnered a spot on the First Team in 2022 in the outfield.

Being named to the ABCA/Ralings All-Region first team makes him eligible to be selected to its All-America team, which will be announced Friday (June 16).
