When the Okotoks Dawgs decided to find a new jersey for their “5 o’clock Somewhere Saturdays” the big Dawg, John Ircandia went to Pablo Forno seeking help.

Forno runs Grand Slam Sports and is one of the best merchandiser’s in the country. Ircandia challenged him to come up with a suitable jersey, considering the “Jimmy Buffett styled Margaritaville” imagery.

Angelina Cox, the renowned Kentucky decorator, was also involved. Forno, Ircandia and Cox settled on the tie dye style.

The unique uniforms were on display as the Dawgs blanked the Brooks Bombers 12-0.

CJ Lewington (UAPB - Calgary, Alta.) made sure Okotoks won the President’s Trophy, tied a season-high in strikeouts, fanning seven over six innings of shutout baseball.

Lewington reached his balance point ...

... moves downhill, driving towards the plate ...

... and extends as he follows through, throwing another strike against the Brooks Bombers.

Kody Funderburk. WMBL MVP, sticks the landing

RHP Omar Celaya who attends Nyack College ...

... and Taylor Davis, of Gonzaga University also combined on the shut out.

The boys in the bullpen ... always bearing down ...

... while in the dugout the Dawgs are a study of concentration and if we are not mistaken that appears to be the silver-tongued devil William Gardner working hard in the front row.  silver-tongued

Tipping his cap to the fans is original Dawg Jonathan Hodgson.
