The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Baltimore Orioles 9-3 in Grapefruit League action at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Fla., on Thursday.
Three of the Blue Jays' top prospects - Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette and Anthony Alford - combined for nine hits, while right-hander Aaron Sanchez allowed just one run while striking out five in three innings to record his first win of the spring.

It wasn't all rosy for Blue Jays' prospects on Thursday. Mississauga, Ont., native Dalton Pompey, who batted leadoff and played left field, was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. Here Pompey expresses his dismay to home plate umpire Jeremie Rehak after being called out on strikes in his second at bat.

Second baseman Lourdes Gurriel (bent over in middle) appeared to tweak his ankle during a play in the second inning. He would stay in the game and single in his at bat in the third inning before Bo Bichette pinch ran for him.
