The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Minnesota Twins 13-8 at Dunedin Stadium in Grapefruit League action on Saturday.

Kevin Pillar, Russell Martin (Montreal, Que.) and Yangervis Solarte belted home runs for the Blue Jays, while Aaron Sanchez tossed three scoreless innings in his first start of the spring. Port Dover, Ont., native John Axford also contributed a scoreless inning for the Blue Jays.

Port Dover, Ont., native John Axford settled things down for the Blue Jays in the seventh when he pitched a scoreless inning.

Blue Jays first baseman Justin Smoak was 1-for-2 with a walk in three plate appearances and was also solid in the field.

Blue Jays outfielder Curtis Granderson signs autographs prior to the game. He would go 1-for-2 with a triple in the Blue Jays' win.
