Baseball Canada Alumni Banquet and Fundraiser set for Saturday

OTTAWA - Baseball Canada will host some of its most distinguished alumni, corporate partners and friends at the Northern Lights Ballroom inside the Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel this Saturday, January 12th for the annual Baseball Canada National Teams Awards Banquet and Fundraiser, presented by Rogers.
The evening serves as a very important fundraising source for Baseball Canada's Junior (18U) and Senior National Teams and will be emceed by Mike Wilner - Toronto Blue Jays radio voice on Sportsnet 590 THE FAN.
During the awards portion of the evening, Port Dover, Ontario’s John Axford will become the 10th member enshrined onto Baseball Canada's Wall of Excellence presented by RBC Wealth Management.
Additional awards will be presented to Bo Naylor (Junior National Team MVP), Tyler O’Neill (Special Achievement Award), Cal Quantrill (Canadian Futures Award), Jamie Romak (Special Recognition Award), Mike Soroka (Alumni Award) and Rowan Wick (Stubby Clapp Award).
Baseball legend Larry Walker will be among the distinguished guests along with national team alumni Andrew Albers, Jeff Francis, Adam Hall, Mike Johnson, Chris Leroux, Adam Loewen, Dustin Molleken, Gareth Morgan, Josh Naylor, Pete Orr, Dalton Pompey, Tristan Pompey, Michael Saunders, Adam Stern and Andy Yerzy.
Longtime National Team Manager Ernie Whitt will be in attendance and will be joined by National Team Coach Tim Leiper.
Baseball Canada is also pleased to welcome Toronto Blue Jays President Mark Shapiro and General Manager Ross Atkins.
In addition to the awards presentation, cocktail hour and formal dinner, the evening will feature an extensive auction of sports memorabilia and sporting event packages that can be viewed here.
*Banquet guests are asked to please visit the registration table upon arrival at the Northern Lights Ballroom prior to the Cocktail hour (6pm) to check-in.
