OTTAWA – As part of Baseball Canada’s continuous efforts to provide coach education to our members, we are pleased to announce our eighth “Monday Hot Stove” session - an interactive gathering of coaches in a relaxed online environment with a subject matter expert.

On Monday, May 11 at 8 p.m. E.T. we are thrilled to welcome Donegal Fergus as our featured guest.

Fergus joined the Minnesota Twins last December to be the organization’s Minor League Hitting Coordinator. Prior to the Twins’ posting, he enjoyed an extensive and highly successful career coaching in college baseball with stops at UC Santa Barbara as Associate Head Coach (2019), the University of Washington where he spent five seasons as the squad’s Hitting Coach (2014-2018), the University of Seattle as an Assistant Coach and the Head Coach jobs at Lower Columbia (WA) College and Tacoma Community College.

Fergus played collegiately at Linfield College where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science.

Registration is free of charge and coaches can register by hitting “Clinics” via their personal account on nccp.baseball.ca.

*Please note that the May 11 session will be conducted using the Zoom platform. Upon registration, participants will be sent log-in information via email.

The Hot Stove will be one hour long and will get 1 PD point to each certified coach. Please note the session will be in English but a moderator will be present to help with any questions in French.

The Hot Stove is open to 100 coaches only so it’s first come first served. Register NOW and you will receive all details on how to join.
