Betts: Pilolli, Trkulja, Scott, Gladwish, Edmonds excel for Terriers

It was another busy week for all five Terriers teams.

Check out the top performers for each in the weekly roundup.

17U – C Nick Pilolli

Nick Pilolli put together a pair of two-hit games for the 17U team. The first came in a loss to the Fieldhouse Pirates when he went 2-for-3. Two games later, he doubled twice, walked and drove in a run.

16U – INF Steven Trkulja

Steven Trkulja led the way offensively for the 16U team, collecting five hits, walking twice, driving in a run and stealing a base. Trkulja went 3-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and three stolen bases as the Terriers downed the Toronto Mets 9-8. The very next game he chipped in two hits, walked and stole another base.

15U – LHP/OF Nolan Scott

Southpaw Nolan Scott tossed three scoreless innings to help the 15U’s to a 1-0 Game 1 win over the Great Lake Canadians. Scott allowed one hit, walked two and struck out four. In the remaining three games of the series, he did damage on the offensive side, contributing two hits, two walks, an RBI and a stolen base.

14U – OF Greyson Gladwish

Greyson Gladwish made the most of the games on the schedule for his team. He had two hits, two walks and an RBI in two wins over the Ontario Royals. During a 13-3 victory, he went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and an RBI.

14U Minor – C/OF Henry Edmonds

Henry Edmonds legged out a pair of triples and drove in three as the 14U Minor’s defeated the Fieldhouse Pirates, 9-5. Later in the series in Game 4, he stole two bases.
