The Terriers will be hitting the road later this week to embark on their annual 10-day fall college trip.

The team bus departs The Baseball Zone on Oct. 6 and heads to Niagara County Community College for a game against the Thunderwolves to get it all started.

Over the following nine days, they'll make their way throughout West Virginia and Ohio for games, practices and a showcase.

The trip represents an opportunity for players to play in front of college coaches and recruiters before the beginning of their offseason program.

"The fall trip is the ultimate kick off tour for our players," Terriers general manager Joe Iannuzzi said.

"It sets the tone all at once for the kind of exposure, competition, camaraderie and opportunities that will be presented to the players throughout the remainder of the year."

Competing at a high level over an extended period will serve the players well in their development and provide them with a glimpse of what it takes to get to the next level, Iannuzzi says.

"These young players will soon have the opportunity to become collegiate academics and athletes," he said.

"The chance to marvel at boundless campuses while seeing the results of drive and dedication on the other side of the field gives them a clear view and target for their future."
