Four of the five Terrier teams were in action and there were plenty of highlights from all over the diamond.

Let’s take a look at the top performers from the past week.

16U – C/INF Jackson Gannett

Jackson Gannett powered the 16U offence with five hits in three games. He went 3-for-3 with a triple in a 3-1 win over the Titans Baseball Club before going 2-for-4 in a loss to the Toronto Mets.

15U – INF Derek Spiske

Derek Spiske played in five games and collected seven hits, walked once, drove in four, stole two bases and was hit by a pitch. He swatted a solo home run as part of a two-hit game against the Ontario Royals.

Right-hander Graydon Furger tossed five innings and allowed one run on five hits as the 16U’s lost a close one, 3-2, to the Major Selects. Furger didn’t walk a batter and struck out one.

14U Minor – RHP/OF Mark Hircak

Mark Hircak used his bat and his arm to make an impact for the 14U Minor’s. At the plate, he contributed a hit, a walk and two hit by pitches. On the mound, he made three appearances, highlighted by three scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts in a 4-2 loss to the Adrian Lookouts.
