Betts - Terriers Players of the Week: Chmielowiec, Hatton, Patterson, Pavao, Yoly

All five Terrier teams were back at it last week with plenty of skill on display.

Let’s get caught up on the best of the best from July 8 to 14.

17U – RHP/INF Jayden Pavao

Jayden Pavao used his bat to contribute in the first three games of the week for the 17U’s as he collected four hits, walked four times, drove in four and stole a base. In the fourth game, he toed the rubber and threw eight innings, allowing seven runs (two earned) on 11 hits. He struck out six.

16U – RHP Ben Chmielowiec

Speaking of pitching, Ben Chmielowiec was brilliant in a 4-1 win over the CT Whalers, throwing a complete game, seven innings. He surrendered an unearned run on five hits and struck out three.

15U – C Jack Hatton

Jack Hatton hit and pitched for the 15U team. At the plate he chipped in five hits, two walks and three RBIs. On the mound, he tossed a scoreless 2/3 of an inning.

14U – INF Kayden Yoly

It was all about the offence for Kayden Yoly in six games for the 14U’s.Yoly had five hits, walked three times and drove in seven. He went 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs in a 16-1 victory.

14U Minor – RHP Hudson Patterson

Right-hander Hudson Patterson worked four innings and gave up four unearned runs on four hits in a 5-5 tie against the Ontario Astros. He issued two walks and struck out six in the outing.
