17U – LHP Russell Kwinter

Southpaw Russell Kwinter threw a complete game, seven innings as the 17U Terriers defeated the Ontario Blue Jays 7-3. Kwinter allowed three runs on six hits, walked four and fanned nine.

16U – RHP/INF Noah Currah and C/OF Dylan Nerlich

Sometimes it’s just too hard to choose one player that stood out. That was the case for the 16U’s this past week as both Noah Currah and Dylan Nerlich were instrumental in their team’s success.

Currah pounded out seven hits, walked twice, drove in six, stole four bases and was hit by a pitch. He swatted a two-run home run in an 11-5 Game 2 win over Watson Elite. Not only did he do damage with the bat, he threw a complete game, seven innings in a 5-1 Game 3 victory. The right-hander gave up one run on one hit, while walking three and striking out eight.

It was lucky sevens for Nerlich, who had seven hits, seven walks and seven RBIs. He also stole two bases. In a 10-0 Game 1 win, he hit a solo home run. Three games later, he belted a three-run home run during a 5-2 series sweeping win in Game 4.

Lucas Meden pitched and hit for the 15U’s. Meden had two hits and two RBIs in an 11-1 win over the Ontario Nationals. The back half of the doubleheader saw him come on in relief and throw five scoreless innings. He surrendered three hits and struck out two.

14U – RHP/OF Miguel Da Silva

Miguel Da Silva chipped in two hits, a walk and two RBIs as the 14U’s won Game 1 of their series against Team Ontario, 11-3. That wasn’t all, though, as he also worked two innings on the mound and allowed one run on a hit. He walked one and struck out two. Throughout the final three games of the series, he had four hits, two RBIs, a stolen base and was hit by a pitch.

14U Minor – Henry Agius

Henry Agius made the most of the two games his team played, producing three hits, an RBI and two stolen bases.
