DAYTON – Wright State's Quincy Hamilton and Tyler Black were each named to the 2021 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-America teams, announced on Saturday morning. Hamilton earned first team honours, while Black was tabbed to the third team.

First recognized in 1949, the ABCA/Rawlings All-Americans are selected by the ABCA All-America committee. ABCA/Rawlings All-Region first-team selections, which were announced on Wednesday, were nominated for All-America honors.

Hamilton started all 48 games for Wright State this spring, hitting for a .374 overall average with 18 doubles, 15 home runs, four triples and 65 RBI with 78 runs scored. Hamilton had 20 multi-hit games this season with nine games with three or more hits and 17 multi-RBI games.

The Centerville, Ohio native and Horizon League Player of the Year has now earned All-America honours from ABCA/Rawlings and Collegiate Baseball newspaper (first team), Baseball America (second team) and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (third team). Additionally, Hamilton was named the top hitter in the country by D1 Baseball in its analytical breakdown rankings of its Top 100 Hitters.

Black also started all 48 games for Wright State this spring, hitting .383 overall with 14 doubles, 13 home runs and a triple while driving in 59 RBI. His final games of the season were a coming out party on the national stage in the NCAA Knoxville Regional, where he hit .556 over the Raiders' two games with three home runs and five RBI while tallying 14 total bases.

The Canadian native was a first team All-Horizon League performer this spring and was also named a Perfect Game/Rawlings All-American (third team) while earning a spot on the All-Knoxville Regional Team after his play in the NCAA Championship. Black was named the No. 7 hitter in the country by D1 Baseball in its analytical breakdown rankings of its Top 100 Hitters.
