The Blue Jays and Mariners have come together on a trade that sends first baseman / designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach to Toronto in exchange for cash considerations.

An All-Star for the first-time last year, Vogelbach has posted a career slash line of .196/.326/.397 with 36 home runs and 95 RBI spread out across 226 games dating back to his MLB debut in September of 2016.

With Rowdy Tellez and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. splitting time between DH and first base for the Blue Jays, Vogelbach's role will likely be that of a left-handed power threat off the bench.

Designated for assignment on August 19, the left-handed swinging product of Orlando, Fla., has reached base just nine times over his 64 plate appearances, hitting a double and two home runs in 18 games with the Mariners this year.
