The Toronto Blue Jays have claimed LHP Easton Lucas off waivers from the Detroit Tigers.

Lucas has been optioned to triple-A Buffalo.

Additionally, RHP Alek Manoah has been transferred to the 60-day injured list.

Lucas, 27, has appeared in six games between the Tigers and Athletics this season, while spending a majority of the campaign at the triple-A level, going 3-1 with a 3.31 ERA over 32 minor league contests.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound left-handed reliever was selected by the Miami Marlins in the 14th round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft out of Pepperdine University, eventually making his MLB debut for Oakland in 2023.

The Thousand Oaks, Calif., native has posted a 9.22 ERA over 12 career MLB games and a 3.95 mark over 140 minor league appearances (10 starts).
