Blue Jays finalize coaching staff

The Toronto Blue Jays have announced three coaching appointments under manager John Schneider: Lou Iannotti as assistant hitting coach, Graham Johnson as bullpen coach, and Sam Greene as assistant pitching coach.
Iannotti, 32, spent the 2024 season as a hitting coordinator for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The North Haven, Ct., native was with the Dodgers for the last seven seasons, serving in a variety of coaching and coordinator roles across the organization, including taking on the role of hitting coach for double-A Tulsa in 2023. The former catcher played three seasons at Quinnipiac University from 2014-16 before finishing his playing career with the Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League in 2017.
Johnson, 39, served as the triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre pitching coach for the last three seasons. Prior to his time with the Yankees’ triple-A squad, Johnson spent four years in the Astros’ system in the same role. The Alexis, Ill., native pitched for four years at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo., before transitioning to coaching at the school, followed by coaching stints at Lindenwood University, Western Illinois University, and Morehead State University.
Greene, 27, spent the 2024 campaign as a senior pitching research specialist for the Blue Jays. The Philadelphia, Pa., native joined the organization in 2021 and has served in a variety of research and development roles. Prior to joining the Blue Jays, Greene pitched for four seasons at McGill University while earning a master’s degree in Management in Analytics.
