The Toronto Blue Jays today announce the promotions of Mike Murov to Assistant General Manager and Joe Sclafani to Director, Player Development.

Murov is entering his seventh season with the Blue Jays, having previously served as the club’s Director, Baseball Operations. The Dartmouth College graduate spent six years with the Boston Red Sox, most notably as Assistant Director, Major League Operations. Murov began his baseball career in 2008 as a Player Development Intern with the Florida Marlins, followed by an internship with the Cincinnati Reds in 2009 before joining Boston in 2010.

Sclafani also enters his seventh season with the Blue Jays, having spent the last three years as Assistant Director, Player Development. The former infielder joined the organization as a Player Development Intern after playing four years in the Houston Astros’ system, culminating in a Triple-A national championship in 2015. In 2018, the native of Brooklyn, N.Y., was inducted into the “Wearers of the Green,” Dartmouth College’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
