Official Toronto Blue Jays News Release
The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to terms with INF Bo Bichette on a three-year contract (US $33,600,000), avoiding arbitration.
Bichette, 24, batted .290 with 43 doubles, one triple, 24 home runs, and 93 RBIs during the 2022 season.
The 6-foot, 190-pound shortstop was selected by the Blue Jays in the second round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft and debuted with the club in 2019.
Bichette was named an All-Star in 2021 and is the only player in franchise history to lead the American League in hits in consecutive seasons, having done so in each of the past two campaigns. Over the course of four Major League seasons, the native of Orlando owns a .297 batting average to go with an .831 OPS.
