The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to terms with LHP Andrew Vasquez on a one-year contract (US $800,000).

Vasquez, 28, appeared in two major league games last season, allowing one unearned run over 1 2/3 innings while striking out three of the six batters he faced for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The 6-foot-6, 228-pound lefty spent most of his 2021 campaign in triple-A, where he kept a 4-0 record with a 3.54 ERA.

The native of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., was selected by the Twins in the 32nd round of the 2015 First-Year Player Draft and was dealt to the Dodgers last trade deadline.

Over the course of his three big league campaigns, the Westmont College product has pitched in 12 games, going 1-0 with an 8.10 ERA and 10 strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings of work.
