Blue Jays trade Biggio to Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired infielder/outfielder Cavan Biggio from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for minor league right-handed pitcher Braydon Fisher.
Biggio, 29, was designated for assignment on June 7 after appearing in 44 games for the Blue Jays. He hit .200 with four doubles, two homers and nine RBIs this season with Toronto. He spent six seasons with the Blue Jays, slashing a combined .227/.343/.382 with 77 doubles, four triples, 48 homers and 176 RBIs in 490 career games. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the fifth round of the 2016 First Year Player Draft out of Notre Dame University.
Fisher, 23, was 2-1 with a 5.86 ERA in 15 games for double-A Tulsa this season. He had 30 strikeouts in 19 innings with 15 walks and a .264 batting average against. He has been with the Dodgers five seasons, tossing a combined 228 2/3 innings in 134 games (12 starts) and an 18-14 mark with a 4.53 ERA. He was drafted by Los Angeles in the fourth round of the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of Clear Falls High School.
