The regular season is in the books for some college teams. Others are coming to an end and Canadians continue to impact the races. Below is a synopsis of the past week.

UBC ends regular season on a high

The University of British Columbia Thunderbirds wrapped up their regular season with a 4-1 week. The only loss came in a midweek tilt with the University of Seattle. Jared Spearing (Winnipeg, Man.) gave up one run over six innings, allowing four hits, a walk and striking out three in the 2-1, 10 inning loss. Niall Windeler (Toronto, Ont.) tossed a scoreless inning and struck out two. Windeler then took the ball in Game 1 of the Thunderbirds series with the College of Idaho and picked up his fifth win of the season. He went six innings, scattering six hits and one run. He punched out six. It was Garrett Hawkins (Biggar, Sask.) getting the ball in Game 2 and he went seven scoreless innings. Hawkins gave up two hits, a walk and struck out five. The strong starting pitching continued in a 9-1 Game 3 win. It was Spearing again taking the mound in that one. He threw six scoreless innings, surrendering a hit, a walk and striking out seven to pick up the win. Daniel Sereda was tasked with completing the sweep and he came up big by allowing one run over 6 2/3 innings in a 7-2 win. Sereda gave up four hits, three walks and struck out six to improve to 3-1.

Ankerman earns honour

Look at the leadoff spot last week for Eastern New Mexico and you’ll find a Canadian. Nicholas Ankerman (Lethbridge, Alta.) had a hit in a 2-1 Game 1 loss to Tarleton State. He hit two doubles and walked twice in a 21-13 Game 2 loss. Eastern New Mexico picked up their first win of the series in Game 3. Ankerman hit a two-run home run and finished the game 3-for-4 with a stolen base in the 9-6 win. His team would earn a split by winning Game 4, 9-8. The senior had two hits, a walk and was hit by a pitch in the game. For his strong showing Ankerman was named Lone Star Conference Hitter of the Week.

Van Every supplies long relief

Cole Van Every (West Kelowna, BC) scattered four hits over seven innings of relief for Southwest Baptist in a 16-5 win over Missouri Western State. He allowed one run and struck out twelve to even his record at 2-2

Canadians at Cloud County stand out

Canadians started Games 2 and 3 of Cloud County’s series with Garden City. Joseph Karall (St. Albert, Alta.) threw six inning in a 2-1 Game 2 loss. He gave up four hits, one run and four walks, while striking out five. Josh Laukkanen (Nanaimo, BC) pitched a complete game five innings in a 22-2 Game 3 win. He allowed four hits, the two runs (one earned) and walked two. He struck out three in the shortened game.

Oultan ends regular season with win, Strilchuk ends with hits

Taran Oulton (St. Albert, Alta.) finished his regular season by tossing a complete game, seven innings in a 9-3 William Woods win. He scattered eight hits, three runs (two earned) and a walk against William Baptist. He struck out six and his record moved to 5-7. William Woods went on to sweep the series. During the 2019 regular season Oultan amassed a 3.87 ERA while throwing eight complete games. Russell Strilchuk (Calgary, Alta.) went 2-for-2 with a walk, a RBI and a hit by pitch in the opener of the series. He collected another two hits and a RBI in a 5-4 Game 2 win. It was a hit and a walk for Strilchuk in the finale, a 12-10 win. The Canadian finishes the regular season with a .316 average.

Unearned runs burn Yavapai

South Mountain scored six unearned runs off of William Sierra (Montreal, Que.) as they dropped Yavapai 8-3. Sierra allowed four hits, a walk and struck out four.

Martin with a pair scoreless appearances

Stuart Martin (Guelph, Ont.) got into two games for Brockport and didn't allow a run. The first appearance came in a 6-3 loss to Rochester Institute of Technology when he struck out two over two innings. The next was in an 11-4 loss to SUNY Cortland where he allowed two hits over three innings. He also walked one and struck out four.

Starter stumbles, Rutgers steps up

The starting pitcher for Garrett College coughed up nine runs in a 13-11 win over Frederick Community College. That’s when Reilly Rutgers (Hamilton, Ont.) came through with 6 1/3 innings of relief. He gave up three hits, two runs and struck out three. The win moved his record to 4-6.

Martin comes in quick

Brockport’s Stuart Martin wasn’t the only Stuart Martin (Ajax, Ont.) to pitch well last week. This Stuart Martin tossed six scoreless innings of relief for Missouri S&T in a 6-5, 12 inning loss to Bellarmine. He gave up two hits, four walks and struck out four. He was called from the bullpen in the second inning of the game.

Johnson continues to roll

No. 7 Lubbock Christian got yet another gem from Ryan Johnson (Winnipeg, Man.) Johnson earned his twelfth win by going the distance in a 2-1 win over Rogers State. Over the seven innings he allowed five hits, the one run, walked two and struck out nine. He has a 2.09 ERA over 86 innings pitched to go along with his 12-0 record. Johnson has held his opponents to a .215 average.

Mailloux has solid two games, Bryan swings the bat

Olivier Mailloux (Ville de Quebec, Que.) tossed six scoreless innings and allowed four hits in Northwestern Ohio’s 4-3, 12 inning loss to Siena Heights. Mailloux struck out four in the tough loss. The second appearance of the week came in a 16-5 loss to Lawrence Tech. He went two scoreless innings in that start, allowing two hits and striking out one. Kyle Bryan (Whitby, Ont.) played in four games and had five hits, a walk and a RBI. Next up for Northwestern Ohio is Game 1 of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament against Concordia.

Smith strong for Hawaii

Cade Smith (Abbotsford, BC) gave up two runs over 6 1/3 innings for the University of Hawaii last week. He allowed five hits, walked three and struck out three in a 4-3 win over California State University Northridge.

Parker finishes off sweep, Turino steers offence

Jefferson College is on a tear and they turned the ball over to Adam Parker (Toronto, Ont.) to try and win Game 4 of their series with Three Rivers. They did just that behind seven scoreless innings from Parker in a 6-1 win. He allowed six hits, two walks and struck out four. Jefferson swept the series and has won an incredible 24 in a row. Parker is 4-0, while Jefferson is now 42-8. Matt Turino (Scarborough, Ont.) had a huge week at the plate as he chipped in 12 hits, five walks, 11 RBIs and five stolen bases. He also homered twice, one in a 4-0 Game 1 win over Three Rivers and again the next game in a 9-5 win.

Falcons to face familiar foe

The first round opposition for the University of Montevallo in the Gulf South Conference tournament is one they should know well. The Falcons will get the University of Alabama at Huntsville, who they just completed a three-game series with to close the regular season. Brady Schnarr (Waterloo, Ont.) worked in a midweek clash with Miles, as well as Game 2 of their series with UAH. Schnarr went three scoreless and struck out two in the Falcons 15-1 drubbing of Miles. In Game 2 with UAH, a 5-4 win, he went 2 2/3 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and a walk. He struck out one in the conference clash. Montevallo won the series 2-1.

Massad makes three appearances

Aidan Massad (Leamington, Ont.) didn't get an out, allowed a hit, a run and walked two for Alderson Broaddus in a 9-4 win over Davis and Elkins. Things got better from their for Massad, however. He picked up his second save with a scoreless 2/3 of an inning in a 10-7 win over Davis and Elkins in a rematch. He gave up a hit and recorded a strikeout in that one. Massad got the start in Game 2 of their series with Ohio Valley and lasted six innings. The righty limited the opposition to two hits, one run and three walks. He struck out nine and moved above .500 to 4-3.

Jackson appears twice, wins once

Corey Jackson (Calgary, Alta.) gave up an unearned run over 3 1/3 innings against Elon. He didn't allow a hit, walked one and struck out four as the University of North Carolina Greensboro dumped the Phoenix 9-8. Jackson earned the win in Game 1 of their series with The Citadel with another 3 1/3 innings of work. He surrendered a hit, a walk and punched out two. The Spartans went on the sweep the three-game series.

Gauthier goes eight

Nyack didn't have much of an issue disposing of Dominican in Game 1 of their series. David Gauthier (Mont Sainte-Hilaire, Que.) helped the cause with eight scoreless innings in the 14-0 win. Gauthier scattered seven hits, two walks ad struck out seven. He also went 4-for-9 on the week.

Ando sparks Spartans, Diaz doe well

The year may not be going how the Michigan State Spartans are hoping but last week was sure a bright spot. Michigan State (14-28) won 4-of-5, including a series win over Northwestern, behind nine hits from Royce Ando (Mississauga, Ont.). Ando also walked four times, drove in five, stole a base and was hit by a pitch. His best offensive performance came in Game 2 against Northwestern. He went 4-for-5 with two RBIs in the 8-2 win. Indigo Diaz (Vancouver, BC) earned his fifth save of the year last week. He tossed two scoreless innings and allowed a hit in Michigan State’s 4-2 win over Toledo. The Spartan reliever walked three and struck out three. The former Reiver then took the loss in Game 3 of a series with Northwestern. The big right hander went 3 1/3 inning and gave up a run in a 3-2, 10 inning loss. Diaz surrendered four hits, two walks and struck out one.

Kobb loses then wins, Magill hits

An unearned run given up by Devon Kobb (Kingston, Ont.) allowed Mercyhurst North East to claim a 5-3 win over Monroe. Robb surrendered a hit and struck out one in the loss. The outing didn't keep him down long though, as he picked up the win in Monroe’s 15-5 win over the Ithaca College JV’s. He worked four innings and allowed another unearned run. Robb held the opposition to three hits and a walk. He struck out six in the convincing victory. Evan Magill (Ajax, Ont.) had eight hits on the week. He also walked three times, drove in eight and swiped two bases.

Marks makes mark against Longwood

Jordan Marks (Bright’s Grove, Ont.) went seven strong innings for USC Upstate in the opener of their series with Longwood. He gave up six hits, two runs (one earned) and walked one. The sophomore struck out nine in the 16-2 win.

Gisiger throws complete game

It was a tight one between Williston State and Bismarck State in Game 1 of their series. Martin Gisiger (Winnipeg, Man) was given the start for Williston State and went the distance, throwing all seven innings in a 2-1 win. He gave up four hits, issued two walks and struck out five.

Caughell leads Corning

Nate Caughell (Niagara Falls, Ont.) threw all seven innings in a 5-2 Corning win last week. He scattered five hits, three walks and punched out three against SUNY Broome.

Douglas College goes 1-6

It was not a very successful week for Douglas College in the win column but they did get some notable performances. Brogan McDougall (White Rock, BC) was a busy pitcher for the Royals making four appearances on the week. In Game 3 versus Everett he gave up three runs (two earned over three innings in a 9-0 loss. He allowed three hits, walked one and struck out three. After going 1/3 of an inning and issuing a walk in a 3-1 Game 4 loss, he went three more innings in the opening game of the Royals series with Skagit Valley. He gave up two hits, a run and two walks, while striking out two. His final appearance saw him give up an unearned run over two innings in Game 4 against Skagit Valley. The opposition managed three hits and struck out twice. Aiden Orsted (Airdrie, Alta.) made a pair of appearances. The first was in the 3-1 Game 4 loss to Everett. Orsted went 2 2/3 innings of relief and allowed one run. He surrendered two hits, two walks and struck out three. He was given the start in Game 4 of the Royals series with Skagit Valley. He gave up four runs (two earned) over seven innings in the win, the only victory of the week for Douglas. He scattered six hits, worked around five walks and punched out seven. Alex Eaton (Abbotsford, BC) helped with the bat by chipping in six hits, six RBIs and a stolen base. He hit a home run in the opener with Skagit Valley. He closed his week with three hits and four RBIs.

Coutney, Gallagher, McWillie with good weeks for Colby

Matt Coutney (Edmonton, Alta.) had seven hits in Colby’s five games. He homered in an 18-6 Game 2 loss to Hutchinson. Overall he walked three times and drove in five. Blake Gallagher (Fredericton, NB) had two hits in Colby’s Game 1 loss to Hutchinson. Gallagher then hit a home run and drove in two in an 18-6 Game 2 loss. Game 3 resulted in another loss, this time by a 7-6 score, but Gallagher collected another two hits. Colby would be swept after dropping Game 4, 5-0. Gallagher had a hit in the final game of the series. Tyler McWillie (Waltrous, Sask.) went five innings and gave up three runs (one earned) in the 7-6 Game 3 loss. McWillie gave up three hits, walked one and punched out four.

Connors State crew come through with big weeks

Two Cowboys continued to drive the Connors State offence. Andres Gonzalez (Toronto, Ont.) had five hits, six walks, four RBIs and a stolen base. David Mendham (Dorchester, Ont.) meanwhile collected eight hits, four walks and 12 RBIs. In a doubleheader with Oklahoma Wesleyan University he hit a home run and drove in four in both games. The Cowboys won Game 1, 16-3 and Game 2, 16-10.

Warken’s season ends

Cole Warken (Regina, Sask.) and the Erskine College Flying Fleet saw their season come to an end in the Conference Carolinas Tournament. Before the tournament began, however, they dropped the final game of the regular season to Lenoir-Rhyne 15-14. Warken went 3-for-5 with a home run, two walks, two RBIs and a stolen base. In the opener of the conference tournament he went 2-for-5 with a RBI in an 11-5 loss to Mount Olive. The Flying Fleet would be eliminated the next game as they dropped a 14-3 game to North Greenville. Warken went 2-for-5 in the finale of the season.

Jaco handed tough loss

The Cameron Aggies were three outs away from a win against the University of Texas of the Permian Basin when it came crashing down. Hayden Jaco (Coquitlam, BC) was brilliant on the mound. He threw 8 1/3 innings, surrendered four hits, two runs (one earned) with a walk and four strike outs. Unfortunately for Jaco and the Aggies the two runs came in the bottom of the ninth when they were leading 1-0.

Lantigua with four hits

John Lantigua (Quebec City, Que.) went 4-for-10 for Oklahoma Wesleyan. Two of his hits were home runs, while he also walked three times and drove in seven.

Burns, Lacasse lead Western Texas

A big part of the Western Texas offence was supplied by Carson Burns (Orangeville, Ont.) and Marcel Lacasse (Gatineau, Que.). Burns had three multi-hit games in a four-game series with Luna. He went 4-for-4 with a home run, a walk, four RBIs, a stolen base and four runs scored in a 17-4 Game 3 win. Burns finished the series with 10 hits, three walks, 10 RBIs and three stolen bases. Lacasse was busy on the mound in Game 1 tossing a complete game, six innings and allowed two runs on five hits in a 14-2 win. Over the six innings he walked one and struck out five to improve to 3-1. The next game he used his bat to impress. He hit two home runs, walked twice and drove in five total in a 21-20 loss. After two more hits, another home run and two RBIs in a Game 3 win, he had a hit, a walk and a RBI in the finale, a 12-2 win. Western Texas is 16-31 this season.

Lake Michigan ride Canadians to sweep

Danny Mahoney (Toronto, Ont.) and Owen Benson (Toronto, Ont.) both played a big part in Lake Michigan’s four-game sweep of Mid Michigan College. Mahoney had six hits, including a 3-for-4 Game 2 performance in an 11-0 win. He also drove in two in that game. He finished his week with a walk and four RBIs. Benson supplied five hits, a walk and five RBIs in the four games.

Morrell and Peters mash for Chandler-Gilbert

Both Tate Morrell (Lloydminster, Alta.) and Tristan Peters had massive games for Chandler Gilbert last week. Morrell’s big showing came in a 24-8 win over GateWay when he went 5-for-6 with two triples, five RBIs and a stolen base. Peters best game also came in the win over GateWay. He went 5-for-6, as well, ripping two triples, while walking once, driving in three, stealing three bases and scoring six times. On the week Morrell had eight total hits, a walk, seven RBIs and a stolen base. Peters also had eight hits, walked three times, drove in five runs and stole the three bases. Peters homered in a 12-3 loss to Scottsdale.

Graham good in sweep

Brett Graham (Burlington, Ont.) had a hit in Bryant and Stratton’s 6-1 Game 1 win over Fayetteville Tech. His team took Game 2 by a 16-4 score and he chipped in two hits, a walk and a RBI. To help seal the sweep Graham had two hits and two RBIs in a 12-2 Game 3 win.

Binsfeld, Farrell another productive pair

The theme of Canadian teammates performing well continued with Jared Binsfeld (Saskatoon, Sask.) and Devon Farrell (Saskatoon, Sask.) of Bismarck State. Binsfeld collected eight hits, drove in six and stole a base. He hit a home run in a 14-9 win over Lake Region State and finished the regular season hitting .395 with four home runs and 30 RBIs. Farrell had six hits, four of which came in a 4-for-4 game with three RBIs in a 10-6 win over Williston State to close the regular season. He drove in seven on the week and stole a base. The Mystics finished the regular season 28-7 and won nine of their last 10.

Sanford homers again

Jake Sanford (Dartmouth, NS) gave the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers eight hits in five games, with one of those hits being a home run. He went 4-for-4 in a 15-4 midweek loss to Kentucky. His homer, a solo shot, came in a 3-for-4 game with two walks and a stolen base. Western Kentucky dropped that game 17-2 to the University of Texas at San Antonio. The Hilltoppers did win Games 1 and 3 to take the series. Sanford walked five times. The coming week features a game against the NCAA Division I No. 7 Louisville Cardinals and a weekend set with Rice.

Fascia figures out opposing pitchers

Purdue played five games last and Zac Fascia (Brampton, Ont.) had at least one hit in each of them. Fascia had eight hits in all, walked three times and drove in eight.

Malenfant moves to 7-1

Hayden Malenfant (Whitby, Ont.) used a complete game, six inning performance to push his season record to 7-1. He scattered five hits, a walk and struck out five in an 11-1 Game 2 Southeastern win over Des Moines Area.

Firebrace not fazed

The schedule was packed last week for Brescia University but that didn't bother Yonelle Firebrace (Whitby, Ont.). Firebrace collected two hits in each of the first three games and eight hits total. He also walked once, drove in five and stole a base.

MacDonald with big game

Jake MacDonald finished his week 4-for-10 for Texas A&M Texarkana. In a 6-5 loss to Southern Arkansas he went 3-for-5 with a double.

Pan produces seven hits

Central Washington was swept in their four-game series with Montana State University Billings but that didn't stop Yi Fan Pan (Langley, BC) from having a good series. Pan had seven hits, walked four times and drove in two runs. He went 4-for-4 with a walk and a RBI in a 29-4 Game 3 loss.

Ontario Blue Jays grad Tyler Small (Mississauga, Ont.) had an eight-hit week for the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Golden Norse.

Small spectacular for NEO

Tyler Small (Mississauga, Ont.) had yet another stellar week. Small pounded out eight hits, had three walks, drove in four and stole a base for Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. In a 14-13 Game 3 loss to Seminole State (OK) he went 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and three RBIs.

Scott with double digit hits

Bryan College’s Tyler Scott was an offensive catalyst last week. He went 10-for-24 with a walk and five RBIs.

Dobie does well

Tyler Dobie (Toronto, Ont.) had three two-hit games and finished his week with seven hits total for Point Park. During the 5-0 week he also walked once, had six RBIs and stole a base.

Time is Wright

There is no time like the present and Tyler Wright (Vancouver, BC) made the most of four games last week. Wright went 2-for-4 with a RBI, a stolen base and a hit by pitch in a 10-3 Maryland win over Virginia Commonwealth University. In the opener of a three-game set with Penn State, Wright was 3-for-4 with a walk and two RBIs in a win. Game 2 saw him hit a solo home run and walk in a 6-4 win. They couldn't complete the sweep, dropping Game 3, 10-7, but Wright had another hit, a RBI and was hit by a pitch.

Ross applies offensive pressure

Spenser Ross (Mississauga, Ont.) had a hit in each of the first two games of the week for Lawrence. In the final three, he had two hits in each to finish with eight on the week. He walked twice, drove in one and stole a base.

Pilots prepare for postseason play

Owen Napieralski (Delta, BC) collected seven hits, two walks and six RBIs for LSU Shreveport last week. In Game 3 of their series with Jarvis Christian he had two hits, launched a three-run home run, walked and drove in four. The Pilots closed there week by scoring seven in the top of the 10th to beat LSU Alexandria 16-9. Napieralski and his team will take on Jarvis Christian in Game 1 of the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament.

Marcus hits for Dodge City

In six games last week for Dodge City Community College, Spencer Marcus (Chatham, Ont.) chipped in nine hits and three RBIs. He hit a solo home run and legged out two doubles, while driving in two in a 9-8 Game 2 loss to Butler Community College.

Savard starts strong, stays strong

Parker Savard (Sudbury, Ont.) began his week with a 4-for-4 game with four RBIs and a stolen base for Dakota County Tech in a 9-2 victory over St. Thomas. He used that game to propel him to five more hits, four walks, seven RBIs and a stolen base in the final five games of the week.

Rattai with strong week

It was a 6-for-15 week for Columbia’s Nolan Rattai (Medicine Hat, Alta.). Rattai also walked twice and drove in two runs.

Howie plays well

Nick Howie (Oakville, Ont.) had a hit and walked three times as Eastern Kentucky lost 5-2 in a midweek showdown with Cincinnati. To open a three-game series with Murray State he had another hit and three walks in a 6-5 loss. In Game 2, a 9-7 loss, he had two hits, a RBI and two stolen bases. The Colonels were swept with a 8-7 Game 3 loss. Howie had a hit, two walks and a RBI in the final game.

Strother a staple

Marcus Strother (Kelowna, BC) had nine hits, walked twice and drove in four for Southeastern Illinois Community College. He went 4-for-4 in a 16-4 Game 1 loss to Rend Land and hit a home run in a 24-15 loss to John A Logan.

Gore relied on heavily

Daniel Gore (Tecumseh, Ont.) made three appearances for Madonna that totalled 10 innings last week. He tossed a scoreless inning and allowed a hit in a 6-5 win over Northwood at Comerica Park. Next was two scoreless innings in a 6-2 win over Cleary. He allowed a hit, a walk and struck out two. He picked up the win in a 10-2 triumph over Siena Heights by working seven innings, giving up nine hits and two runs. He struck out one to improve to 4-2.

Anderson picks up win for Pride

The first appearance for Jack Anderson (Kitchener, Ont.) last week saw him throw just 1/3 of an inning for the Hofstra Pride. He allowed a run on two hits in a Game 2 loss to James Madison. Anderson was back out there in Game 3, this time throwing 4 2/3 scoreless innings. He surrendered five hits, walked two and struck out five in the 10-5 win. His record now stands at 2-0.

Brook brings bat for Valley City State

Aiden Brook (Oakbank, Man.) was no easy out this past week. Brook had nine hits, walked three times and drove in six. He homered in a 4-3 loss to Mayville State.

McGhee helps SUNY Adirondack to series split

During Game 1 of SUNY Adirondack’s series with Cayuga Community College, Brent McGhee (Ajax, Ont.) had a hit, two walks and two RBIs in the 8-7 loss. In Game 2 he went 4-for-4 with a home run and six RBIs. SUNY Adirondack won the contest convincingly by a 14-4 score. McGhee chipped in a hit and a walk in a 16-4 Game 3 loss. He then went 2-for-2 with two walks and a RBI in an 8-5 win in Game 4.

Warkentin hits home run, drives in seven

Matt Warkentin (Leamington, Ont.) hit a home run in a 6-5 Parkland win over Des Moines Area. On the week he had 10 hits, walked once and collected seven RBIs.

Georgetown wraps up terrific regular season

Eric Thrower (Toronto, Ont.) had six hits for Georgetown last week as they went 5-0 to finish the regular season 42-11. Thrower also walked three times and drove in two. Next stop, the Mid-South Conference Tournament.

Webb performs in busy week

Eight games were on Concord’s schedule and Evan Webb (Whitby, Ont.) had hits in seven of them. Webb helped his squad with 12 hits total, six walks and 10 RBIs. In a 25-3 thumping of Ohio Valley he smashed a grand slam, had six RBIs and scored four runs. He homered again in a 5-2 Game 4 loss to Charleston to close out the week.

Sherman sure can hit

Evyn Sherman (Delhi, Ont.) chipped in seven hits for Macomb last week in five games played. He walked once and had three RBIs. In a 13-1 win over Schoolcraft in Game 4 of their series he went 3-for-4.

Okawa offers offensive support

Jamestown got eight hits from Grant Okawa (Mississauga, Ont.) in five games last week. Okawa also drove in three and stole a base. He went 3-for-5 with two RBIs in a 10-8, 10 inning win over Doane University in Game 1 of their series.

Patterson pounding pitching

JT Patterson (Calgary, Alta.) had two, three-hit performances and a pair of two-hit games during Bellevue’s four tilts last week. He went 3-for-6 with three RBIs and a stolen base to open things up. The next game he had two hits, including a two-run home run, a walk, four RBIs and a stolen base. The third game saw him go 3-for-3 with three home runs. He hit a solo shot and a pair of two-run home runs in a 16-0 win over Waldorf. He concluded his week with two hits, a walk and two RBIs.

Former Whitby Chief Kristian Webb (Whitby, Ont.)hit double figures this week — with a 10-hit week for the California University of Pennsylvania Vulcans.

Webb gets in work

Seven days and seven games for California University of Pennsylvania kept Kristian Webb (Whitby, Ont.) busy. Webb had 10 hits in six games played, walked once, drove in six, stole a base and was hit by a pitch.

Pikeville set for conference tournament

Luke Lubinicki (Regina, Sask.) got his final swings in last week before Pikeville takes on Cumberland University to open the Mid-South Conference Tournament. On the week Lubinicki had eight hits, two walks, five RBIs and was hit by two pitches. In a 7-4 Game 2 loss to Shawnee State he went 3-for-3 with a walk.

Lebreux has good offensive week

Seminole State took 3-of-4 from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Marc Lebreux (Sainte-Anne, Que.) had seven hits, two walks, seven RBIs and two stolen bases. He hit a home run and went 3-for-4 with four RBIs in a 15-4 Game 2 win. Seminole State has three games against Connors State on the slate before postseason play.
