BRANTFORD – Owen Boon (London, Ont.) fanned seven over seven innings to lead the London Majors to an 8-2 win in Brantford Sunday afternoon.

The London righty (3-0) allowed two runs on seven hits and didn’t issue a walk.

Offensively, Starling Joseph’s three-run blast in the fifth capped a four-run inning as the Majors broke open a 2-2 tie. Taylor Wright drove in a pair, Cleveland Brownlee had two hits and two runs, Robert Mullen went 2-for-3 and Andrew Lawrence had two hits and a run.

London improved to 4-1.

For Brantford (0-6), Spencer Jamieson went 2-for-4 and was credited with the lone RBI. Zach Lampreia and Shamil Ubiera also had a pair of hits apiece.

Gabe Bruder took the loss, giving up six runs on seven hits over 4 2/3 innings. He walked two and fanned five.
