Bourassa earns Second Team All-American summer honours

RHP Landen Bourassa (Lethbridge, Alta.) earned second team summer college All-America honours with the Corvallis Knights.

Landen Bourassa was dominant for the San Francisco Dons last spring while pitching in the West Coast Conference.

And this summer while not with the Dons, Bourassa (Lethbridge, Alta.) was dominant again hurling for the Corvallis Knights in the West Coast League. The loop bills itself as is the premier summer collegiate loop west of the Mississippi. The 14-year-old, 11-team, wood-bat league operates in the Pacific Northwest.

Bourassa earned a spot on the Summer Collegiate All-Americans Second Team selected by Perfect Game.

Bourassa was 5-1 with a 1.95 ERA for Corvallis where he was a starter for the south division in the all-star game. He walked nine and fanned 39 in 46 innings.

As for Bourassa, with Saan Francisco, Bourassa was 8-4 with a 3.02 ERA. He walked 33 and fanned 61 in 83 1/3 innings. Bourassa had wins against Sacramento State, UC Riverside, Xavier, Portland, Gonzaga, Santa Clara, BYU and Kansas State.

Before San Francisco, Bourassa earned first team NWAC All-Region pitcher in 2017 at Lane Community College. He was 9-4 with a 2.63 ERA in 96 innings with 82 strikeouts in his two seasons with Lane.

RHP Garrett Goodall (Nanaimo, BC) was an all-star for the North in the West Coast League pitching for the Victoria HarbourCats. Goodall was 2-1 with a 3.04 ERA in nine starts for Victoria as he walked seven and fanned 33 in 44 1/3 innings. 

Pitching last spring for the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Eagles he had wins against Eckerd, Lynn and Rollins. he was 3-4 with a 5.79 ERA, walking 24 and striking out 50 in 56 innings.
