SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week for April 26, 2021.
#WCCSPORTS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – GRAYSON STERLING, SO., INF/OF – GONZAGA
Grayson Sterling led the Zags in batting average for the week, connecting for 6 hits on 12 at bats for a .500 batting average. He had one home run and one doubles to go along with three runs scored while leading Gonzaga to a 4-0 week. Sterling added seven catches and seven putouts on the week with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.

#WCCSPORTS PITCHER OF THE WEEK – LANDEN BOURASSA, SR., RHP – SAN FRANCISCO
Landen Bourassa tied a 75-year-old single-game USF record Friday, striking out 16 in a complete-game shutout of Portland. He had six strikeouts through the first two innings, struck out the side in the seventh, and had at least one strikeout in every inning. He threw only 108 pitches despite the record-tying 16 strikeouts - the fourth-most in the NCAA this season by a pitcher in a single game. The complete-game shutout was the first thrown by a Don in six years and marked the longest outing of Bourassa's career.
