Bratt, Ziegler to pitch in Baseball Factory All-Star Classic

Junior National Team pitchers Mitch Bratt (Newmarket, Ont.) and Calvin Ziegler (Heidelberg, Ont.) will be at Dr. Pepper Stadium in Frisco, Texas on Sunday, October 4 to play in the Baseball Factory All-Star Classic, featuring 40 of the top high school baseball players in North America.

The game, considered to be one of the premier showcase events for high school prospects eligible for the 2021 Major League Baseball Draft, can be seen live on MLB.com beginning at 1 p.m. E.T.

Bratt represented Canada last summer at the 2019 WBSC U18 Baseball World Cup in Gijang, Korea and is eligible to play in the 2021 event that is scheduled to take place in Bradenton and Sarasota, Florida next September. He is committed to Florida State University.

Ziegler has been with the Junior National Team program since the spring of 2019 and recently committed to Auburn University. He is ranked 85th on Baseball America's Top 100 2021 MLB Draft prospects list.

Prior to 2020, the contest was known as the Under Armour All-America game and featured some of the top Canadian high school prospects including the late Jake Eliopoulos (2008), Kellin Deglan and Evan Rutckyj (2009), Skylar Janisse (2010), Ryan Kellogg and Gareth Morgan (2011), Josh Naylor and Demi Orimoloye (2014), Andy Yerzy (2015), Adam Hall (2016), Denzel Clarke and Bo Naylor (2017), Cesar Valero (2018) and Theo Millas (2019).

All are graduates of Baseball Canada’s Junior National Team program.
