The Okotoks Dawgs kept their offence rolling by beating the Lethbridge Bulls 12-2 on Saturday night.

The Dawgs have now scored 30 runs on 43 hits - including six home runs - in their past two games.

The Dawgs are 12-5 on the season, one game up on the Sylvan Lake Gulls.

On Saturday night, Titus Dumitru smacked a three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to extend the Dawgs’ lead in a six-run frame. Dumitru finished 3-for-4 with six RBIs.

Brendan Luther (Mississauga, Ont.) added four hits and scored two runs for the Dawgs, while Cesar Valero (Calgary, Alta.) went 3-for-5 with an RBI.

Trent Lenihan (White Rock, B.C.) and Noah Geekie (Strathclair, Man.) also each contributed two hits and an RBI for the Dawgs.

Graham Brunner (Sherwood Park, Alta.) earned the win after tossing five strong innings for the Dawgs. He allowed just one run on two hits while striking out eight.

The Dawgs will battle the Lethbridge Bulls on Sunday afternoon in what should be a classic Father’s Day matchup at Seaman Stadium.

The Dawgs will then travel to Sylvan Lake to take on the Gulls on Monday night.
