Brunner dominates on Canada Day in Dawgs' 12th consecutive win

The Okotoks Dawgs cruised past the Brooks Bombers 10-0 in a Saturday night game on Canada Day.

The Dawgs registered eight hits in the game, while their pitchers struck out 12.

With the win, the Dawgs have won 12 straight and move to 22-5 on the season.

Trent Lenihan (White Rock, B.C.) got the Dawgs on the board with an RBI single, while Aidan Rose (Calgary, Alta.) added a two-run double in the first to bring his RBI total to nine on the season.

Noah Geekie (Strathclair, Man.) added a hit and an RBI for the Dawgs and Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) belted a pinch-hit, two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. It was his sixth homer of the campaign.

On the mound, Graham Brunner (Sherwood Park, Alta.) started and allowed just three hits, while striking out six, in five scoreless innings for the Dawgs.

The Dawgs are set to hit the road for seven games starting on Monday in Medicine Hat when they take on the Mavericks.
