The Ontario Blue Jays alongside True North Sports Performance are excited to announce the hiring of Jared Kennedy as a Pitching Coach and Strength Coach.

Kennedy joins OBJ after spending the past five years at Division 1, Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. There he competed in all four years as a left-handed Pitcher for the Golden Griffs while being named to the MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) All-Academic Team in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

After completing his Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness, he moved into the Assistant Director of Athletic Performance at Canisius where he assisted in the day-to-day operation of the athletic performance department focusing his time across the variety of sports offered but the majority of his time was spent with baseball and softball.

In addition, Kennedy was apart of PBR Alberta as the Assistant to the Director where he scheduled, organized and evaluated players from across the province.

Kennedy on joining the Ontario Blue Jays: "I am extremely excited for the opportunity to work with the elite athletes that are in this program. I look forward to assisting with both the strength and conditioning as well as the pitching staff. From top to bottom this organization is committed to the development of young athletes and I am grateful for the chance to be a part of that."
