University of San Diego alum Jack Shannon (Cardiff, Calif.) pitched and played outfield for the New Brunswick Senior League's Saint John Alpines this summer.

The 6-foot-3 southpaw connected with the Alpines through the International Baseball Community (IBC), a recruitment service for professional players and coaches looking for overseas opportunities founded by Vernon, B.C., native David Burns.

Shannon recently shared his experiences with the Saint John Alpines in a video that's part of IBC's ongoing series called Globetrotters.
