Gold Medal: Saskatchewan 3 Manitoba 1 - Logan Hofmann struck out nine batters in six dominant innings on the mound to lead Saskatchewan to a 3-1 win over Manitoba to claim the Canada Games baseball gold medal. The win came in front of over 7,000 fans at Shaw Park to mark the largest Canada Games crowd in Winnipeg this week for any sport. Saskatchewan opened the scoring in the first when Brody Frerichs was able to scamper home on a Connor Sparks single to centre with an error committed on the same play. Ryan Olchoway then came up with a clutch, two-out single in the third that brought in Sparks to put Saskatchewan in front by a pair. Manitoba pulled to within one on Jordan Peck's two-out RBI single in the sixth but Saskatchewan answered back with a run in the bottom of the inning before Tyler McWillie closed things out with a scoreless seventh. The marks Saskatchewan's first Canada Games baseball gold medal after the prairie province won silver in 1989.
Bronze Medal: Alberta 5 Ontario 1 - Brendan Logan limited Ontario to just one run on five hits in a complete game effort as Alberta picked up their second consecutive Canada Games bronze medal with a 5-1 win. Alberta erased a 1-0 Ontario lead with a pair of runs in the third before plating three in the sixth to create a four-run cushion. Ayden Makarus and Brayden Cust picked up RBI singles in the three-run sixth. The bronze matches Alberta's best-ever finish at a Canada Games baseball competition after winning the third place medal in 1997, 2005 and 2013.
