The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame will announce its 2019 induction class on Tuesday at 9 a.m. E.T.

The new inductees will be honoured in a ceremony at the Hall of Fame grounds in St. Marys, Ont., on June 15.

The Canadian ball hall has inducted a total of 125 individual members and teams since its inception in 1983. The museum was founded in Toronto, but has been located in St. Marys since 1998.

Those attending this year’s induction ceremony will have an opportunity to see the newly expanded museum which is set to re-open this spring. A 2,500-square foot addition to the museum was completed late last summer and the expanded area in the museum will offer a multi-purpose room for groups and social events, as well as temporary and traveling exhibits.

The expansion also includes an archive and resource library that will house the Hall’s historic documents and serve as the home of the Centre for Canadian Baseball Research.

Renovations to the stone house which has served as the museum for the past 20 years will also be completed this spring, as is work on organization and storage of the artifacts.

In its new incarnation, the old stone house will showcase permanent exhibits professionally designed by BaAM productions. The upstairs of the old stone house is also being transformed into permanent offices for staff.
