Seminole State College of Florida right-hander Carter Krawchuk (St. Catharines, Ont.) bounced back in a big way this past week.
After lasting just one inning and surrendering four runs in his first start of the season on Jan. 24, Krawchuk was a man on a mission as he took the ball in Game 2 of the Raiders series with Tallahassee State College on Saturday.
As he did, his message was clear; no bullpen needed.
The former Fieldhouse Pirate toed the rubber and never looked back, throwing a seven-inning no-hitter in a 7-0 victory.
He walked three and struck out eight en route to evening his record at 1-1.
Carter Krawchuk is the Canadian Baseball Network College Player of the Week for Jan. 27 to Feb. 2.
