When Oral Roberts University began the Summit League Baseball Championship, it was left-hander Harley Gollert (Toronto, Ont.) who they handed the ball to.

And he delivered.

Gollert worked seven innings and allowed two runs on seven hits in a 9-2 victory over the University of Nebraska Omaha. He walked three and struck out seven in picking up the win, his 10th of the season.

The Golden Eagles would then go on to win back-to-back games against South Dakota State to claim the Summit League championship and secure their spot in a regional.

On the season, Gollert leads the team with his 10 wins. He possesses a 3.27 ERA and has struck out 82 over 82 2/3 innings.

The Golden Eagles meanwhile are 46-11 and head into the regionals riding an 18-game winning streak.

Harley Gollert is the Canadian Baseball Network College Player of the Week for May 22 to 28.
