Official Okotoks Dawgs News Release
The Okotoks Dawgs lost to the Lethbridge Bulls 7-6 Tuesday night.
The loss was their sixth of the season.
The two teams were scoreless going into the fifth inning until the Bulls jumped out to a lead. The Dawgs battled back but could not contain the Bulls’ offence as they won a close one.
Graham Seltzer (Vancouver, BC) had a night to forget, allowing five earned runs, while being saddled with his second loss of the season. Relief efforts from Quinn Tocheniuk (Okotoks, Alta.), Rylan Penner (Blumenort, Man.) and Connor Robbins could not contain the Bulls’ offence.
Alejandro Cazorla (Okotoks, Alta.) led the Dawgs’ offence going 3-for-3 with an RBI. Mason Guerra went 2-for-3 and hit his first home run of the season. Brendan Luther (Mississauga, Ont.) and Tucker Zdunich (High River, Alta.) both had multi-hit games.
The Dawgs will travel to Medicine Hat for a Wednesday night contest with the Mavericks. The Dawgs will then return to Seaman Stadium for their annual Canada Day weekend.
