Not a lot of Canadians were playing ball overseas or south of the border as the minor leagues disappeared from the calendar.
However, if they all were playing how many would have hit three bombs in a week?
Jamie Romak went deep three times for SK Wyverns. The first baseman is hitting .270 with 25 homers, 74 RBIs and an .894 OPS in 114 games this season.
Romak (London, Ont.) hit .181 (4-for-22) with three homers and to earn Canadian Baseball Network player of the week. How the week went for Romak as he hit:
_ A second inning home run off former No. 1 pick Casey Kelly (30th over-all by the Boston Red Sox in 2008) in a 7-2 loss to the LG Twins at Jamsil Baseball Stadium.
_ Was hitless in a 10-2 loss to the KT Wiz at Incheon SK Happy Dream Stadium.
_ Was hitless in a 5-0 loss to KT.
_ A pair of homers to knocked in four runs in a 9-5 loss to the NC Dinos at Incheon SK Happy Dream Stadium. He homered 425 feet to left facing Lee Jae-hak scoring Chae Tae-in and Choi Ji-hoon for a three-run shot. Next time up, he slugged a solo homer facing Yang Eui-ji leading off the fourth 410 feet to centre.
_ Was hitless in a 3-0 loss to NC Dinos.
_ Singled in a run in a 7-6 win against the KIA Tigers at Gwangju Kia Champions Field.
Winning a title: OF Nick KyRose (Toronto, Ont.) was a big factor helping his Therwill Flyers win the Swiss Federation League Championship. His numbers in eight playoff games included a .364 average, nine runs scored and seven RBIs.

Sam Belisle-Springer ended the Bundesliga regular season with another excellent start for the Stealers. On Sept. 20 in a 5-1 win over the Berlin Flamingos he threw six innings, gave up only one base hit and one earned run while striking out four, to earn his fifth win of the season. His final stats in seven German Bundesliga starts for Hamburg are 5-2 with a 2.86 ERA.
