Philip Cheong wears blue but he has signed to turn in his blue colors for Cardinal garb.

The Ontario Blue Jays INF Cheong (Richmond Hill, Ont.) has agreed to a National Letter of Intent to join the Stanford Cardinals in 2025.

Cheong earned WWBA 2025 Grads or 16U National Championship all-tournament honours in 2023 at Marietta, Ga. He was clocked in his 60 at 6.5 seconds. At the plate, he batted .333 (3-for-9) with a double and three RBIs.

He also was selected to appear in the Canadian Futures Series last month at the Rogers Centre. He had three runs and four stolen bases in four games for Team New Blue at the event.
