COBA Major Week X: Brampton Royals, Ferreira, Mullin

The COBA Major Zero K Bats Team of the Week for Week 10 (July 2-8) is the Brampton Royals Senior Baseball Team.

This past week the Royals had a solid week going 2-1. They started off the week with a 14-8 loss on the road in Erindale before defeating the Brants in Burlington 12-7 and returned home to end their week with an 18-7 win over Oakville.

With the wins last week, Brampton now sits at 8-9-2 on the season. That is good for fourth in the Andrews Division.

COBA Major Lazer Pro Pitcher of the Week -- LHP Andrew Mullin of the Erindale Cardinals.

Mullin had one appearance this week helping to lead Erindale to a 14-8 victory at home against the Brampton Royals. In this game, he tossed three shutout innings, in relief, and allowed only one hit. He walked two batters while striking out seven in collecting the win.

For his season, Mullin now sits at 3-0. In his 34 innings of work, he has allowed 19 runs, nine earned, on 31 hits good for a 2.38 ERA. He has walked 17 batters while collecting 34 strikeouts thus far.

The COBA Major D-Ville Bats Player of the Week for the Week _ 1B/DH Joe Ferreira of the Brampton Royals.

Ferreira played in three games during this period helping lead the Royals to a 2-1 record. They started off the week dropping a 14-8 decision to Erindale before rebounding with two wins 12-7 over Burlington on the road and 18-7 over Oakville at home. For his week, he was 7-for-15 (.467) with two singles, two doubles, a triple, two home runs and a walk. He scored three runs while collecting 10 RBI Including hitting for the cycle against Oakviile.

For his season, Ferreira is now hitting .404 (21-for-52) with seven doubles, one triple, and four home runs. He has driven in 28 runs while scoring 16 runs.
